The Directors of InSitu Advisory have previously held senior management positions within large international mining and environmental consultancies and within industry. Our team are intently focused on client and project deliverables.

InSitu Advisory has stepped away from the traditional consultancy model driven predominantly by KPI’s and financial targets to build a dynamic, innovative consultancy who’s key focus is on service deliverables. This ensures that our clients achieve the best possible outcomes for their businesses. Darren Herdman

Director

B.Sc. (Hons) FRICS AAPI FIQA MAusIMM (CP).

Licensed Valuer QLD, WA.

Registered Valuer RICS: Certified Practicing Valuer API: Chartered Professional (AusIMM).

Darren has 25+ years of international extractive industry, mining and waste management experience (Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe, USA and China). He specialises in the discipline of quarry, industrial mineral and landfill asset and business valuations, as well as providing strategic corporate advice to those industries, such as transactional and technical due diligence.

His valuation expertise ranges from private funding, first mortgage security, litigation, expert witness, financial reporting, insurance, taxation, compensation, mergers, acquisitions and sales.

Alan Dyer

Director

B.Sc. (Hons) M.Sc. CEnv FGS MAusIMM MIQA MCIWM.

Alan has 25+ years of international experience within the waste & resources management business and within the field of geology and resource appraisal. Alan has spent the last 20 years in consultancy, acting for numerous local and international waste, mining and quarrying businesses.

He specialises in feasibility, due diligence, financial appraisal, EIS preparation, strategic planning, design, technical delivery, community consultation and operational support for a broad range of waste and resource recovery projects and mining/quarry operations.

His waste expertise covers landfill and transfer stations, resource recovery facilities, Alternate Waste Technology (AWT) and Energy from Waste (EfW). In the field of geology and resource appraisal, Alan specialises in undertaking mineralogical assessments, JORC compliant resource evaluations, ground investigations and geotechnical engineering projects.

Todd Clark

General Manager

Class 2 – Licensed Real Estate.

Todd is an experienced property professional with 13+ years of broad property experience in the quarrying, mining, waste management, resource recovery and industrial/agricultural sectors. Todd specialises in valuation, corporate advisory and real estate services, providing bespoke advice in the private funding and first mortgage security space along with acquisitions/disposals, pre/post purchase due diligence, feasibility studies and transactional brokerage.

Shaun Barry

Consultant

Licensed Valuer QLD, WA.

Registered Valuer RICS.

Chartered Professional (AusIMM).

Shaun has a commercial and geological background with 25+ years of experience in mining and quarry valuations, mineral economics, minerals marketing and geology. Shaun specialises in mineral asset valuations, technical due diligence, technical reviews and mineral specialist reports for equity and debt transactions in support of project finance.

Michael Muston

Project Engineer

ADBM, DHRM.

Michael has 10 years’ experience in the development of modern resource recovery and waste disposal facilities across Australia and internationally. Michael is an experienced project manager and proficient in the preparation of technical and regulatory documentation. He provides input into design aspects for strategic waste and resource management projects. Michael is a GSI certified CQA Inspector, specialising in construction quality assurance (CQA) auditing of geosynthetics and compacted clay liners for landfill containment barriers, capping and gas extraction systems, as well as providing insight on all aspects of construction.

Myles Tomlinson

Valuations Analyst

B.Comm

Myles specialises in valuations, utilising quantitative and fundamental analysis to value assets in the quarrying, mining, waste management, and resource recovery sectors. Proficient in due diligence, Myles undertakes micro and macro-economic research to establish a comprehensive model for valuations.

Myles holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Decision Science & Finance from Macquarie University and is currently completing a Master of Financial Analysis at UNSW.

Amy Alessi

Environmental Consultant

Amy is an established environmental consultant specialising in EIS preparation, community consultation, project management and technical report drafting.  Amy operates within the waste management, resource recovery, quarrying and mining sectors. 

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Western Sydney University.

Fiona is an experienced office administrator responsible for the day-to-day running of the office.  With over 25 years’ of experience across various government sectors, global consultancies and volunteer / community organisations, Fiona provides administrative and accounts management, executive assistance and project support to the team.

Industry Compliance

InSitu Advisory is a Registered Firm of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with our Registered Valuers being regulated under the Institution’s Conduct and Disciplinary Regulations. We are also Licensed throughout Australia and are Certified Practicing Valuers of the Australian Property Institute. 

Our team members are also Chartered Professionals of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, undertaking mineral valuations in accordance with the VALMIN Code 2015, thereby ensuring quality and compliance with the relevant standards.

Our waste and resource management team provide environmental assessments, detailed design and operational support in accordance with relevant Acts, Regulations and guidance notes.  We are members of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR).

We are capable of undertaking geological reserve and resource appraisals to a JORC compliant standard when required.
